Looking back, I see now why the most beautiful people in the world to me have always been androgynous men, in personality as well as looks. They have the power and the mystery that I crave. They inspire love in me that I want to give to myself.

From the early days of Nick Rhodes, Boy George, Marilyn, and now Atsushi Sakurai (late discovery), I have always had to follow their light without knowing why. They hold authority in their hands, which is ironic because this power-hungry society denies it to people who look and act like them. Denies them respect, yet they are the only ones I respect. Atsushi's hotness has hit me like a ton of bricks! That kind of thing rarely happens with me. And now I've found this old interview where he's so no-ego, yet sultry with that deep-voice. And the women in the audience sound like they're having orgasms! And he's looking at them like he has no idea he's responsible. And the host just has me cracking up.
I have to know what's going on. Does anyone know where I can find an English translation? (If it's written, any language will do.)

For what it's worth, this is not my main journal. I have another one that's gotten pretty heavy and serious of late. I use this one to keep things light and fun.

This isn't a review. This is a reality check. I just took apart my ancient, on it's last leg VCR, in order to free the equally ancient Earthian tape (the only copy I could get my hands on locally *geesh*). Now I've got screws and panels laying around all over and still the tape is imprisoned because there's some darn release thingy that I can't release. The VCR is kaput. The power won't come on, so it isn't receiving electricity. Ya know, that's fine.

I have a perfectly new Recordable DVD/VCR, but I still wanted to watch Earthian tonight. Danggit. Guess I'll just have to see if I can order the DVD set. It'll be worth it.

I must be one of the last people on Earth to have discovered Earthian. I LOVE it. I don't know why, aside from the yaoi aspect. It's dated, but still of good quality. It's adorable, and I don't usually go for adorable or angels. I like the fact that Chihaya is sweet and tough at the same time, and that the slashyness hits you out of nowhere (or is that because I'm missing an episode and didn't see it coming?). And that when Chihaya revealed his wings to Messiah, I was really touched! And even more touched when Messiah calls out to him at the end of that episode. Small things were done really well. Those little surprises are what I'm looking for.

Oh well. I shall be adding this to my growing collection
